Vitamin Shots
Vitamin injections can improve the skin, hair, nails, energy, general health and well being.
They are essential nutrients we get from food. Having a vitamin deficiency may increase the risk of certain health issues. Vitamins are either water soluble or fat soluble. A, D, E, and K are fat-soluble meaning that the body can store these vitamins in fatty tissue and the liver as a reserve supply for many days and even months.
Vitamin D is a group of fat-soluble vitamins responsible for intestinal absorption of calcium and phosphate. Two major forms of vitamin D exist: D2 (ergocalciferol), found in plants, is produced by sunlight and can be consumed as a supplement or in fortified foods. D3 (cholecalciferol), on the other hand, is synthesised in the human skin and is often referred to as the sunshine vitamin.
Sun block is an important skin protector but conversely reduces the skin’s ability by 92% to produce vitamin D. Vitamin D is known to improve the immune system and may play a part in dampening down the inflammatory response in certain illnesses. Vitamin D injections require a blood test and prescription. Water-soluble vitamins dissolve in water, which means these vitamins and nutrients dissolve quickly in the body and the body can not store them. Unlike fat-soluble vitamins excess amounts of water-soluble vitamins simply pass through the body excreted in the urine. Because these vitamins are needed by our bodies, we need to make sure we intake these vitamins on a regular basis. They include vitamin C and vitamin B complex: thiamin (B1), riboflavin (B2), niacin (B3), pantothenic acid (B5), Vitamin B6, biotin (B7), folic acid (B9), Vitamin B12.

There are a huge amount of oral supplements available on the market of varying quality. No matter how expensive the product or what claims are made 70% of oral vitamin supplements will be destroyed by your body’s digestive system, making the bio-availability (the amount that is useful for the body) between 15-20%. Intramuscular injections by-pass the digestive system giving 100% bio-availability. Injections are therefore a quicker and more precise method of administration.
